Again we stayed in our dorm relaxing and we also writing important details for our blog, because I want to finish it on time π.
Day 19- Last Friday at Soedirman. ( Assisting day)
Every Friday is half day in Soedirman. My schedule for this day was to assist Miss Fifi the adviser of Grade3H. I came to school earlier than Miss Fifi so when the time for prayer already I ask the students who is the incharge for the day so that they can start on time. After the prayer the students collect a donation. Then Miss Fifi came and started the class during the class I also helped miss Fifi in explaining to them about their lesson. During the activity some students are complaining, so I encourage them that they can do it and I also gave example so that they have idea on how to do it.




Day 18- Actual Teaching#5 and Assisting
Keep doing what you want. Teaching the kids is full of fun, it’s hard but very full filling specially if your students is as sweet as my students in Soedirman.
I’m now at my last schedule for actual teaching. I have done 4 actual teaching already so I must say I’m more comfortable now in teaching. First I ask the leader of the class to lead the prayer. Second I gave them an Energizer through an action song which they all gladly participated. Third I proceeded to actual discussion .Then Generalization. In the application I let students act out some instances where there is a force. Then a short quiz for evaluation




While waiting for twinkle in the afternoon, I helped ma’am Nisa and ate Jessa in checking the test papers of 3G
Day 17 (February 6,2019)- Evaluation Day
Evaluation day is a make or break for me. Last Monday I already pass my lesson plan to Miss Fifi so that if something is wrong I can fixed it ahead of time. I prepared my materials ahead of time so that everything will be okay.
I started the class by giving greetings to my students and I also ask if how was their day. I also gave them an Energizer Song and Dance before the class, to set their moods and they gladly participated. Then I activated their curiosity to the topic through closing all the lights and then tell then this is the world without ENERGY and I ask their thoughts about it and what would they feel without energy. When I get their attention already I gave them an activity which every students must a pair and I gave them a picture and they will paste it on the chart by they should decide if its Renewable or Non-Renewable. After the activity I started now the discussion through asking questions, cause students already have the idea and I know that teacher should only a facilitator. The students enjoyed the discussion because I presented not only images but animation of the sources of Energy so that they can visualized it better how it works. I let them answer and also ask questions so that I can correct their miss conceptions and also in can support their ideas. After the discussion I proceeded to generalization where I let them recall what is Energy, and What are the sources of Energy. Then for their application of learning I group the students into 5 groups and each group is named after the different sources of Energy. The group quiz was very enjoyable the students were so competitive because they all want to be the first.





















Day 16- Adventure Day
No classes for this day, because of the celebration of Chinese New year, so We decided to have a mini Adventure in Jakarta.
First we went to PGC, it is a like a mall where you can buy variety of clothes, accessories,shoes bags and etc. We went to there to look for traditional dress or batik. After roaming some stores and when we already bought what we want we decided to eat. It was my first time to have cheese chicken and it’s good.
In the afternoon Dinda and Kim fetch us at PGC, because our next destination is in Monas. National Monument or Monas is a famous destination for tourist, because who would not be amazed with how tall and big the monument. Monas is a park also where you can just sit down there have a picnic and chichats with friends. We also bought souvenirs there for our love one’s in the Philippines.














Day 15- 3rd Actual Teaching.
Each day it gets tougher and tougher. I keep pushing myself to better but there are times when things won’t work the way you want it to be.
Before the actual teaching my teacher gave me already the topic. So as usual I prepared my lesson plan ahead of time I researched for the lesson and prepared my materials.
The discussion was so smooth for me, because the students were so cooperative with me. I never had hard time explaining to them and they easily picked up what I want them to know. It was an English class the sharing of sentences was so interesting and the students are really fond of forming ideas but still following our lesson. Over all I enjoyed Teaching in the 5H class but just like any class there were also some misbehaved students.
My Teacher said I should learned more about Classroom Management and handling the misbehaved students.Yes I got a low score for it but it’s okay, I’m still a student teacher and everything is a lesson to learn for me. I will take it as a motivation for me to step up my strategy. This is a sign that I have room for improvement.






Day 13-14 Weekend Work
We don’t have itenerary for this weekend so I just decided to make my materials for my Lessons. It’s nice that I finished all my presentation for the rest of the week so that when the demo Teaching comes I’m now much prepared.This weekend I also find time to relax and reflect for my two weeks of stay in Indonesia.
Day 12 ( February 1, 2019)- Lesson Plan day
It’s Friday and we don’t have any set plans in the school because it is our off, but our off day is our lesson plan day. Our free time is the best time to make lesson plan for the next week and to prepare our materials for teaching.
Day11 ( January 31,2019) – Actual teaching #2
Everyday is a new beginning. Compared to my First Actual Teaching I’m more at ease right now because I have now a little bit experience of how to teach in class. it was not my first time at 4H class but still there are some behavior of the students I don’t know. There are times that they areΒ still shy to answer, so i really tried my best encouraging them to answer, now i know how it feels when my teacher before keep asking the same question over and over again just to encourage someone to answer.Β For this actual teaching I discovered the two types of learners the silent one but does good in paper works and some active students who are both good at recitation and paper works. This was my second teaching already and at the end I run out of voiced, but it still worth it.







Day 10- My First Actual teaching
It seems like yesterday I was just a student listening to my teacher. I still couldn’t believe that I’m now at my First actual teaching .
Yes I’m nervous and excited at the same time. Nervous because I don’t know if I will able to meet the expectations of my teacher and the students, and if I can deliver the lesson well. So when the teacher gave me my topic I prepared for it I ask for their books for reference and I also search the net for support for the topic. I prepared my lesson plan ahead of time and also the materials that I will be using.
During my teaching I’m still nervous, but I keep telling myself that I can do it I prepared for it so I don’t have any reason to do not deliver the lesson well. I’m also glad that the students were so cooperative with me they are active and I they really respect me.
